New Skills question? - Guild Wars Forums

I've been reading in the forums about, from what I can tell, some new skills. But I haven't really been able to learn anything about them. For example I think I read that there's 2 new Ranger traps, and some new Glyph for ele's, and so forth.

I tried searching the forums but couldn't really find anything. Are these new skills faction-only (even for the original base classes)? Are they questable/buyable for Prophicies characters? Is there any listing of these things? Please help I'm so confused and they sounded pretty neat from what little I read about them.

They're Factions-only skills. Prophecies characters can get them, but only if you buy Factions and take the characters to Cantha.

Guildwiki has all the new skills, though a few of the descriptions are slightly outdated, I think. (Some skills got adjusted in between the last preview event and the release.)

Thank you so, so much! It kind of makes me sad because I can't afford 50$ for Factions for a month or more, but oh well something to look forward to. I appreciate the fast answer though. ^.^

Sorry for the double posting but I just thought of something. The wiki page lists the skills by Core, Prophicies, or Factions. Since our characters can migrate from F<>P, are the skills they have locked per area?

The reason I ask is because I noticed that some skills are new for factions, while others are 99% identical to some of the prophicies ones. So it made me wonder if people in cantha can only use core+faction, and people in tyria (regardless of faction skills earned) can only use core+prophicies.

Main question: Can our linked characters use BOTH Factions+Prophicies skills once learned? Because if they can I really need to buy factions since I already see some amazing combos.

If you own Prophecies and Factions, and link them on the same account, you can use all skills from each as well as the shared core skills. There are a number of Prophecies skills which have exact duplicates in Factions skills, and yes, with a merged account you can have them both in your skill bar.
